Hello everyone, my name is Tina and I have been trading forex for four years now. I am a full-time hairdresser, but thanks to strange circumstances I was introduced to the world of forex trading. I was hospitalized overnight and when I was taken to my room, the other patient I shared it with was angrily mumbling into her phone. At first I was a bit concern as I thought she was in a serious condition. After she got off the phone she looked at me, shrugged her shoulders and said: “Crazy forex market, isn’t it?”
I had no idea what she was talking about and she could tell by the puzzled look on my face. I asked her if she was alright and then she gave me a puzzled look. “How can I be alright with the Japanese Yen in the middle of a flash crash?”, was her response. She then quickly understood that I was not a forex traders and backtracked. We started to have a lengthy conversation about various topics. After two hours she circled back to forex trading and explained to me how she became a full-time forex trader.
She had a job which she hated and was looking for a way out. She wanted to work for herself and travel the world which just wasn’t possible with her job at a real estate firm where the boss hired her for her looks and little else. She asked me about my profession and I told her that I have my own hair studio and while it takes up most of my time I do enjoy it every day. I am always open to learn about an opportunity which interest me and quite frankly Ivana’s forex trading venture sounded like something I could work into my revenue stream.
Forex trading sounds simple enough when it is explained, but making money consistently is a bit more complex. Over that past eight years Ivana managed to build her own portfolio management firm using PAMM accounts which to me was rather impressive. Since we shared a hospital room together, I asked Ivana if she would be willing to share some of the most important attributes of a successful forex trader. She was happy to help me, but before we started a one-on-one crash course she asked me why I wanted to enter the forex market.
Ivana explained to me that a lot of new traders are motivated by wrong aspects of the business such as making money quick from their living room. This causes them great frustration as their starting balance is low and then they make a series of wrong decisions as they are chasing the money, they are not focused on earning it through hard work. This is the biggest lesson Ivana learned from her mentor, a man she admired for his dedication and professionalism and on who did not look at her as a toy to play with due to her looks. She said that this is the most important lesson she wanted me to teach.
“Never chase money, focus on earning money the right way!”, is a phrase she repeated several times. Ivana asked me why I was looking to create a second income stream as I was very busy with my hair studio. I told her that I was looking to expand and open a second location, but that I needed additional capital for it. I have talked with banks for a loan, but either the conditions were not favorable or I was outright rejected. Over the past six months I grew frustrated as the bankers did not understand the business plan and the revenue it would bring in.
After listening to my story, Ivana said she would like to step in and help me out with my forex aspirations. We were both released from the hospital the next day and agreed to meet. While I was excited about Ivana’s input, she was equally excited about my expansion plans which were rejected by bankers. Over the next two months we met twice per week and learned a lot from each other and about each other. We ultimately decided to enter a 50/50 partnership where Ivana provided the expansion capital from her firm and we set up a corner in both hair salons were we educated others about forex trading.
Most of my customers are women which are heavily under-represented in the forex market. I am happy that Ivana runs our forex trading accounts at PaxForex where all traders are treated equal. The level of respect you receive makes a big difference and I completely trust them with our funds. While Ivana likes to repeat the fact that you should not chase money, I add that having a forex broker you can trust is priceless. PaxForex is not just our broker, but we look at them as a partner in our business venture.
There is a lot of interest when it comes to forex trading. Ivana and I share our own story and how we partnered and being honest with potential clients has gone a long way for both of us. Over 90% of all customers at both hair salons also become investors in the PAMM accounts which are operated at PaxForex. 2019 will mark the year were we will open the third hair salon-forex trading outlet and Ivana will get married this summer. Don’t be afraid to take unusual steps as long as you keep your head in the right place. Venture out this year and take the first step at PaxForex!
